Charlotte Figi Remembered
Cannabis industry forerunner, Charlotte Figi is honored by medical doctor, Sanjay Gupta in this CNN article. Charlotte was born with with Dravet syndrome and took cannabidiol (CBD) oil to prevent seizures. She inspired the name of the medical cannabis strain called Charlotte’s Web. She passed away on 4/7/20 at the age of 13. She will be remembered for helping to ignite a medical-cannabis movement in support of CBD. Charlotte successfully used this strain, dubbed Charlotte’s Web, to treat her seizures, and soon other people with chronic conditions got wind of her story and sought CBD treatments themselves.
